Common questions

Do I need to learn search operators or set up folders?
No. Senticly is built around plain-language questions. You type something like “what invoices are still unpaid from May?” and it retrieves the relevant emails and answers directly, citing the messages it used.
Which email providers work with Senticly?
Any mailbox that speaks IMAP or POP3 — Gmail, Outlook/Microsoft 365, Yahoo, iCloud, and custom business or hosting-provider mailboxes. For Gmail and Outlook with 2-factor authentication you’ll use an app password.
Can Senticly read my emails on the server?
No. Your credentials and cached emails are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your password (or encryption passphrase). That key never leaves your session, so we physically cannot decrypt your data on the server.
How accurate are the answers?
Answers are grounded in your actual inbox using BM25 retrieval, and every answer shows the source emails it relied on. It does not invent facts that aren’t in your mail — if the information isn’t there, it tells you.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. You can connect a mailbox and start asking questions on the free plan. Paid plans raise your weekly AI message limits and unlock larger syncs.
